Delayed Start

Last year I planted two sets of Second Generation Seeds before March, and they struggled with the cold. Hopefully, a later start this year will provide a greater chance of success. In addition to seeds for Suyo Long and Joseon Shorty cucumbers, Gyopo peppers, Kamo eggplant, and Sagwa melon, I’m doing Gaeguri melon seed saved from last year, plus saved Manoa lettuce (also last year) and gailan (2022) from Kitazawa. I am regretting not saving seed from the one Suyo Long plant I got to really thrive last year, but a better showing this year will help me move on. Zee’s Krishna Tulsi basil appears to prefer a different approach to sowing, and I’m still trying to figure out my plan for it, but otherwise this tray represents all the SGS excitement I’ve procured for 2024.
