Round 4

Is it warm enough yet to chance any transplanting? Maybe not, but the soybeans were starting to show their discomfort at being cooped up, and I’m not super confident in their prospects anyway, so today they got to stretch out in the big box.

I also filled back the pots where the last transplants died of cold. I hope the new occupants don’t run into any ghosts.

With vacancies available, tenants moved in. I’m trying a mix of sources: Kitazawa (Tsuyataro cucumber seeds left over from last year and also purchased from Tokyo Fish Market a few days ago, Shishitos from last year, Adzuki beans from 2021), UH Seed Lab (2021 Komohana grape tomatoes), and Second Generation (the last of the Kamo and Suyo Long).
